Who Is Sol?

Alison Moore, Owner and Teacher

If our practices are a measure of our passions, Alison deepens the relationship between mind, body, and heart every time she steps onto her mat. Her own adventure with yoga began in New York City in 2004, and following a relocation to Denver she joined the local  teaching community in 2011. Since this time, Alison has spent numerous hours exploring this powerful practice in her own body to allow for the most authentic expression in teaching. With a background in competitive kickboxing, she understands the courage we ask of ourselves when venturing to explore a new physical challenge. And with kindness and levity, she invites each of us to expand the boundaries of what we believe is possible. Come practice and unveil the next layer of your own self!

When our Students Share Our Love…

We started practicing with Alison nearly 5 years ago after never having attended a yoga class. Sometimes it pays to be more lucky than good, and we totally lucked out finding Alison.

Practicing with Alison has given my other sport pursuits a new balance and lightness while creating a more resilient body. Alison’s sense of community practice and support has also been a key piece recovering from injuries as a result of other sports. She’s helped adapt poses and sequences to keep me moving and helping me bounce back a little faster. Hands down, favorite thing about Alison’s practice is we have yet to repeat a sequence. And that’s in the hundreds of classes we’ve been a part of!! She keeps each and every class fresh, challenging and fun!

Yoga, Union or bringing together.

Denver Sol Movement is truly the basis of what yoga is all about. The physical, the mental, and the spiritual parts of our lives. I first found yoga at an older age, 53, and instantly fell in love with the physical side of yoga. Now at 67, the spiritual side of what the practice offers is truly the best side of what the practice can bring into our lives. It is the foundation that is helpful to all of us. Of all of the different styles I have practiced, Sol Movement offers the best of both worlds to anyone just starting or someone that really wants to reexamine their practice and take it a step deeper. There are several great teachers lead by Alison Moore. My friends she leads by examples of Love and Openness to all. Her dharma’s are slow and sweet as honey, and truly profound. As our community and the world moved through the pandemic she and our teachers were there to help us through the uncertainty with Love and Guidance.

We rise, We rise and grow as a community with Compassion and Love for all.
